OUR FINISH OPTIONS
Color is a big part of what makes Young America so special, but it’s
not the only thing. We offer a wide range of options across our
many wood stains and painted finishes. Look for these icons as a guide
to understand exactly how each technique adds individual character. |

Distressing
An effect to make the furniture look aged or less-than-perfect using sandpaper or a paint stripper. |

Sand Thru
A technique used to make furniture appear slightly worn around the soft corners and wood drawer pulls. |

Fly Spec
Small specs of slightly different contrast often found on European styled collections. |

Dry Brush
Hand-brushed step with other techniques that creates a distressed antique effect. |

Light Antique
Dry Brush, Fly Spec and Light Distressing with a complementary paint stripe. |

Heavy Antique
Dry Brush, Worm Hole, Rasping and Heavy Distressing for a rough and tumble feel. |

Striping
A complementing color, sometimes striped into selected grooves
and hardware. |

Lightly Distressed
A simple effect achieved by giving selected areas
a worn look. |
